Abstract

A new epistemological theory based on the construct of environmental law stands out, whose main objective was to promote the transformation of renewable energy from biofuels to reduce environmental pollution from the raw material sugar cane in the local area of Imbabura. The methodological process was inserted in the qualitative-quantitative paradigm and corresponded with the ethnographic field work. The inductive method was applied. As a research technique, participant observation and surveys directed at older adults were used. The alternative hypothesis was circumscribed by having clarified what is the effective path for environmental preservation and reducing the consumption of non-renewable energy?
