Dimensión jurídica internacional del concepto de desarrollo sostenible y la región ártica: viejos desafíos y nuevos enfoques.
Resumen
El desarrollo sostenible del Ártico es uno de los temas principales en la agenda de los estados del Ártico y la comunidad internacional en su conjunto. La necesidad de consolidar las obligaciones ambientales internacionales de los estados, prevenir el daño ambiental de las actividades económicas, así como establecer la responsabilidad ambiental en la región está dictada por la singularidad del ecosistema de la región ártica. El desarrollo intensivo de la producción de petróleo y gas, la infraestructura de transporte conlleva inevitablemente un aumento del impacto negativo en el medio ambiente. El artículo analiza la esencia del concepto de desarrollo sostenible del Ártico, así como los mecanismos legales internacionales para garantizar la seguridad ambiental de la región y los problemas de responsabilidad por el daño al medio ambiente.
