Labor law for women in Ecuador.
Abstract
The labor law of women has become in recent times a trump card for some and for other lessons to be learned. In Latin America, firm steps have been taken in the area of legislation that tacitly protects their rights, although differences in the labor order are still marked. This work aims to show some discriminatory elements of Ecuadorian working women despite their strong legislative protection. To this end, the disadvantaged situation of working women in Latin America and Ecuador is initially addressed, to later expose in a tight synthesis the constitutional right in opposition to the reality of women towards work, as well as some guidelines for change.
