The progress of the historical, cultural and environmental rescue project from Yantzaza, Zamora Chinchipe, Ecuador.

Abstract

The canton Yantzaza in the province of Zamora Chinchipe in Ecuador, has important natural resources, tourist icing, cultural values, exquisite gastronomy, agroecological products and a particular geopolitical environment. Despite this, problems have been highlighted such as the lack of written or virtual knowledge on historical, cultural and environmental aspects, loss of credibility and cultural values, community demotivation to undertake new developmental alternatives and lack of geopolitical articulation. The objective of this presentation is to report on the progress of the research initiated in mid-2018 and which will be completed in the first half of 2020.
