Application of the Organic Law on Communication in the coverage and journalistic writing of red chronicles in Ecuador.

Abstract

This article analyzes the treatment of the journalistic notes published by Diario Extra, about red chronicle and its adherence to the stipulated in the Organic Law of Communication. From a theoretical entry and the presentation of news headlines. It is specially established to observe certain tensions in which these chronicles are written as well as to problematize their continuity in the Ecuadorian press. Although these stories continue exerting special attraction in the reading public, they have been strongly sanctioned for making a morbid or sensationalist treatment of the journalistic note.
