Abstract

Nowadays, industrial companies show ecological aspects, that is why the question arises: How does the implementation of environmental certification affect the Guritbalsaflex company economically? The same that leads to develop a financial study using different techniques which allows responding to the problem cited. The investigation was carried out to the manager and technical personnel of the company, using theoretical and empirical methods and techniques such as interview and survey, which allowed to obtain that the average net profit for the sale of certified wood would be around $ 19.973 each year, compared with the net profit from the sale of wood without certification, which is $ 1,233,685 each year, using tools such as the calculation of the Weighted Average Cost of Capital.
