Labor discrimination against women in Ecuador against the Constitution of 2008.
Abstract
The Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador of 2008 has considered material and formal equality, as well as the prohibition of discrimination, however there are still sexist behaviors, exclusion, inequality and structural gender violence in the workplace, which It translates into fewer opportunities for women in this area. The article presents bibliographic and historical data that allow to understand the realities faced by the female gender when looking for and accessing a job, of receiving a salary or salary and when considering the hours of work developed, with the purpose of evidencing the advances and setbacks of the country in this matter.
