Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of language variations functioning in the era of globalization. The research gives a theoretical review of modern Nigerian English variations, and analyzes the level of the English language influence on the indigenous languages condition. It points out the peculiarities of lexical and semantic features of Nigerian English due to the dominant effect of the English language.
