Abstract

In the current times, there are many professors, researchers and scientists developing resources based on new technologies to support the teaching-learning process of technical careers; these technological tools simulate a real situation and improve the perspective of many students before entering the working world giving them the experience they need for their performance. In education, many professionals add technological tools for educational purposes in their teaching methodology. Virtual laboratories stand out for their visual impact and animation characteristics, which simulate a real. In the present work, the institutions in Ecuador that apply virtual laboratories as a complementary activity in the theoretical-practical subjects are analysed. As a result of this analysis, the virtual institutions and tools that foster self-learning and collaborative work are shown.
