The relationship between impulsivity and deficit in cognitive regulation of emotion with self-mutilation attempts in soldiers admitted to a military hospital.
Abstract
The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between impulsivity, deficits in cognitive emotion regulation and depression with soldiers’ self-mutilation. The present study was descriptive-correlational and the results showed a significant positive correlation between impulsivity and self-mutilation of duty staff, between cognitive-emotional deficits and self-mutilation of duty staff, and between depression and self-mutilation of duty staff.
