Abstract

This study is relevant because of the significant capability of the social entrepreneurship to ensure economic security of the state by solving social problems. The concept and essential features of social entrepreneurship are studied with the historical and genetic method. Activity approach provided the basis to explore social entrepreneurship as a specific kind of human activity. Statistic procedures enabled to make sense of the social entrepreneurship development figures. The article considers different approaches to the phenomenon social entrepreneurship and the need to render it with a separate law is substantiated.
