Abstract
The objective of this study is to identify the models that best explain the factors that contribute to the academic performance of students of the Autonomous Regional University of the Andes. According to the objectives set out in this research, it can be classified as exploratory, empirical and deductive. Due to the nature of the treatment of the data, it is a quantitative, correlational research and, according to the classification criterion of the research design and the number of variables, it is considered as multivariate.
