The right to adoption by homosexual couples.
Abstract
The adoption by same-sex marriages is a reality in Mexico city since April 2010; then, in Coahuila from 2014 and in Campeche in October 2016, where the High Court ruled in favor of adoption of children by homosexual couples when declaring the Law of Civil Coexistence Societies unconstitutional. In the first case, the possibility was given after the changes in the Civil Code were approved in December 2009; the possibility that same-sex couples can adopt in Mexico has generated different points of view according to the moral and customs that have been instilled throughout their lives.
