The development of assertive communication in the students of the Bachelor in Speech Therapy at the University of Granma, Cuba.
Abstract
This article addresses the need to form a degree in speech therapy with a broad development of communication skills, within which the development of assertive communication as a condition for shaping the sense and meaning of the profession occupies a prominent place, based on the influence that the various factors exert on him, the set of curricular activities in which he is involved and his incidence from work practice, where he assumes roles that connote his initial professional training. Practical suggestions are made in order to develop this important and necessary communicative ability with a colloquial, affordable and easy to understand language leading the reader to reflection.
