Abstract

The study aimed to provide pedagogical support of students’ volunteering activities as an experience of their positive self-realization. The work is based on the principle of complementarity of volunteering arranging to current problems of society. Using the system approach, the authors developed a model of pedagogical accompanying of students' volunteering. It implies three areas of activities: creating a favorable social environment for volunteerism, building socially beneficial activities, and training students as competent volunteers. The project method was applied; it included planning and carrying out the students’ volunteer initiatives in concrete forms and programs of socially beneficial activities. It is concluded that the pedagogical accompanying volunteering has a positive impact on developing of students’ prosocial qualities and the adequacy of their self-attitude.
