Abstract

The relevance of the paper is due to the ever-increasing need for specialists, speaking a language for specific purposes, in the light of world economy globalization, computerization and informatization. The main objective of the study is to identify and describe the main methods and techniques for teaching English for Specific purposes, allowing increasing the efficiency of mastering English in non-linguistic universities. The novelty lies in the fact that, on the basis of a comparative analysis of the methodology of English for special purposes approaches and General English, the necessity of shifting the emphasis of foreign language training towards domain-oriented integrated learning and specialty is substantiated.
