The document investigates the development of information evaluation skills as a component of information literacy through mobile learning tools. Data for the study were collected at the technical university. Students in the experimental group were offered a questionnaire about the level of critical information and the evaluation of Internet resources. After the session on the evaluation of the information, the control and experimental group students conducted an investigation. The quality of the research was evaluated at the end of the experiment with a focus on the quality of the information and its impact on the research. To obtain the students' comments, we interview them, analyze the results of the research evaluation and conclude that the evaluation of the information is crucial for an educated person and that the mobile learning tool promotes its efficiency.
