Definition of problems to apply the problem-based learning method in the teaching of software engineering
Abstract
Problem Based Learning (ABP) is a challenge for students and for teachers who are committed to this method. This paper presents the results of the application of this method in the Software Engineering course of the Computer Engineering degree of the Technological University of Havana "José Antonio Echeverría" (CUJAE). It is a difficult task to design problems that achieve meaningful learning, and this is the basis of ABP. For the definition of the problems, the types of requirements that satisfy the computer applications developed by the professionals of this profile were taken as a basis. The results obtained led to significant improvements in the quality with which students acquire the expected knowledge and skills
