Use of Internet and mobile telephony in university students of two universities in Ecuador.
Abstract
The student visions of two Ecuadorian universities on the use or possible abuse of these technological resources are compared. For the statistical analysis, the mean and standard deviation (SD) were used after checking the assumptions of normality of the observations through the non-parametric Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. 95% confidence intervals were calculated. In order to identify possible difference of means between the students of the two universities studied, the parametric test Comparison of means (Student's t for independent samples) was applied, once the compliance with the assumption of homoscedasticity of variances was also verified.
