Socio-cultural strategies for the functioning of a modern university.
Abstract
As a result of the study of the role and place of universities in modern society, we can say that today there is a tendency to expand the functions of the university as a social institution, the manifestation of its multifunctionality. With the expansion of the university’s functions, its “focus” shifts from the problems of the development of an individual to the broader problems of social development. A feature of a modern university is its focus on ongoing social changes through deep integration into the life of social communities and society as a whole.
