Legal culture and state-building in modern Ukraine: problems of mutual influence.

Abstract

The article is devoted to problems of mutual influence of the legal culture of the population and state-building processes in modern Ukraine. The idea is substantiated that the democratic state as an institution which is the embodiment of democracy presupposes the presence of an activist legal culture in the subjects of public relations. At the same time, the formation of legal culture and state-building processes are hampered by the inefficiency of the judiciary and the law enforcement system, the corruption of state officials, the lack of a system of legal education for young people, the peculiarities of the mentality and historical past of our people, etc.
