Abstract

The play of masks is seen as a space for experimenting with the ideas of F.Nietzsche. The idea is drawn that the phenomenon of the F.Nietzsche’s play appears as a transgressive phenomenon, which allows playing out various versions of its interpretation for the development of the main themes of his work. The idea that the play of masks in the creative heritage of F.Nietzsche is centered around re-evaluating values, becoming a superhuman and perceiving the play as a play of life is defended. Based on the analysis, the authors come to the conclusion that using the category of the play, the German thinker not only expanded the boundaries of understanding the phenomenon of the play and developed important aspects of his creative heritage, but also challenged the social and moral foundations of the contemporary society.
