Relationship between GDP and Ecuadorian imports.

Abstract

In order to establish the relationship between the GDP of Ecuador and the imports generated by it, it has been proposed to develop a VARMA model, where the relationship is raised that the Ecuadorian GDP depends on the imports generated by the country in a period of determined time. On the other hand, to capture the causality of imports towards GDP, the demand for expanded imports must be considered as a VAR model.
