Abstract

Strategic management is a tool that allows organizations to be more efficient, effective and efficient in fulfilling their mission and vision by taking into account both the internal and external context. Its application is based on a holistic and participatory approach by all members of the institution. Its application allows people to develop strategic thinking, giving space to an attitude of change that makes it possible to respond to existing problems. The strategic direction of higher education contributes to the achievement of academic excellence, the quality of its processes both substantive and support and creates a climate of planning and projection in terms of continuous improvement of higher education institutions.
