Abstract

The use of plastic materials in food packaging must meet requirements that control the transfer of compounds from the packaging to the food, a process known as migration. Objective: to implement educational strategies for school bar vendors about the consequences of GAP contained in plastic containers on food, in order to prevent diseases in the "Tulcán" Educational Unit. A descriptive study was carried out, using a qualitative, quantitative and field model, using as a research technique the survey directed at the school bar vendors of the "Tulcán" Educational Unit. It was shown that, through educational strategies, the shopkeepers have the ability to identify the main consequences.
