Abstract

The research aims to determine the main causes of exodontics in young adult patients between 34 and 44 years. An observational and descriptive study was conducted from November 2018 to May 2019 at the Mocha Health Center, Tungurahua, Ecuador; Dental Medical Records of 40 patients who were treated with exodontics were reviewed and selected by proportional random stratified sampling. A documentary analysis was performed where the existing information was interpreted and organized according to the operationalized variables as the main causes of exodontics. A high incidence of dental extractions was identified, with greater application for the female gender, as well as the main causes for which the patient decided to have the dental piece exodontic.
