Abstract

The research arises from the need to develop local gastronomic tourism as an alternative source of economic resources for the canton of Santo Domingo. The purpose of the work is to design a gastronomic route for the canton and thus promote local tourism. Therefore, in order to fulfill the established objectives, the necessary objectives were set, which determined that in the canton it is feasible to carry out this project and then finalize its respective design. The design of a route within the research framework allowed the conservation of the gastronomic culture of the canton, by means of different traditional dishes that allow establishing a guide with a specific origin and structural configuration that links destinations and thus guarantees the tourist a unique and pleasant experience.
