Associativity of textile workers: advantages and limitations. Case of Antonio Ante Textile Associations.

Abstract

Since the creation of the Institute of Popular and Solidarity Economy, the association of micro-producers has been promoted to achieve a better level of competitiveness. This study aims to highlight the current situation of textile associations in this canton of the province of Imbabura by analyzing internal aspects, using field methodologies, applying a survey of the partners of six active associations attached to the IEPS, obtaining as results the dependence of these associations regarding the qualification in public procurement contests and the need to have new production and marketing alternatives that guarantee a sustainability over time.
