Considerations about assertive communication for the integration of the substantive functions in higher education.
Abstract
The research presents considerations about the role of assertive communication in the integration of pedagogical, scientific processes and extension work, through a holistic approach. As a general objective, the incidence of assertive communication in the articulation of substantive functions was determined. 285 teachers and 236 administrative personnel were surveyed, and semi-structured interviews with authorities and area directors. The results show that higher education institutions fulfill their social responsibility; however, in many cases, the products generated are not disclosed through assertive communication techniques, and it is concluded that training programs should be created to promote the creation of community radio frequencies with the participation of the university community.
