Abstract

Lhermitte Duclos disease (ELD) or dysplastic glycomy of the cerebellum is a rare pathology. It presents as a very slow-growing cerebellar cortex tumor, which produces a mass effect on the posterior pit, causing symptoms of cerebellar dysfunction, uncommunicative hydrocephalus, and cranial nerve dysfunction. The objective of this research is to demonstrate the importance of Radiology and Imaging in the diagnosis of Lhermitte Duclos Disease, and the impact of MRI as a diagnostic medium, approached from a qualitative method.
