Abstract

Mature teratoma is a germ cell tumor. The diagnosis is usually discovered as casual findings on a scan or ultrasound. The diagnosis is made by imaging tests such as: abdominal-pelvic ultrasound / Doppler, Resonance and Simple and contrasted tomography.
In this article, describe the case of a 10-year-old female patient, without a pathological history, she presented persistent acute abdominal pain within the last 12 hours, difficulty to evacuate less than 1 week of evolution, referred to the mother That +/- 1 month ago I notice slight growth of the right side of the abdomen. A physical examination presents pain on deep palpation, in addition to large and mobile mass located on the right flank and mesogastrium. Abdominal-pelvic tomography s / c shows: right adnexal region with a highly suggestive image of being a teratoma. Histopathological results confirmed mature cystic ovary teratoma.
