Abstract

Pancreatic tumors are very rare in children and their histological characteristics and prognosis are very different with respect to adults. Like the rest of the abdominal masses, pancreatic masses are manifested by signs of space occupation or are incidental finding in an examination performed for other reasons. The article describes the case of an 11-year-old female patient without a family history of pathologies, who is taken to an emergency medical consultation because she presented a clinical picture of continuous abdominal pain that increased on palpation, fever and vomiting. After the intake of fatty food. A pancreatic tumor is obtained as a diagnostic impression after imaging studies, confirming its benignity when performing the histopathological study.
