Abstract

The research aims at the theoretical foundation that supports empirical knowledge to improve practice in the use of Amazonian plants in special tactical operations in the jungle, which can serve as an alternative medicine in different military activities, focused on creating a botanical garden. The plants mentioned in the research are considered to be native to the Ecuadorian Amazon, which are still used by the indigenous ethnic groups in the sector. The investigation intends to socialize this knowledge with the military personnel who are trained in the Iwias School, cliffed in the province of Pastaza, Canton Mera, Shell Parish, with a continuous projection of research for the creation of the botanical garden and the "Vencedores del Cenepa" Soldiers Training School of the Ecuadorian Army, who carry out their training in the jungle phase in the EIWIAS.
