Femicide, its social and psychological impact in Riobamba, Ecuador. Analysis of the period 2019 - 2020.

Abstract

This article is developed in search of the social and psychological impact generated by the perpetration of femicides in a determined population, in the case, Riobamba canton, Chimborazo province, Ecuador. The analysis takes place between August 2019 and January 2020, and methods and tools are implemented to obtain results, such as the survey of a population sample established by a scientific formula; in addition, official sources are cited that keep the information on the crime in question up to date; subsequently, the study of the current regulations on crime is carried out from its typification, in order to find a solution oriented to the implementation of education programs for prevention.
