Abstract

This study presents the analysis of political dialogue as political competence in the university environment of the Ciudad Juárez municipality, Chihuahua. This competence derives from one of the strategic axes of the INE's National Strategy for Civic Culture 2017-2023 (ENCCIVICA). The dialogue on political issues in the universities, trust as an element of its expansion, and the role that the university has in this aspect are analyzed, through a quantitative methodological strategy, through the application of a survey to 185 undergraduate students in 2018. It was found that political dialogue is low, that trust is at a medium level and that the transmission of various values, mainly minimalist, is related to trust towards university actors.
