Abstract

In this article, we systematically analyze and review the scientific knowledge available for decision-making related to the conservation of biodiversity in the El Cielo Biosphere Reserve, Tamaulipas Mexico. The methodology consisted of searching, classifying and reviewing publications in the WOS, SCOPUS and REDALYC databases. We worked with 51 scientific publications at three levels, first, themes, patterns and research structures were identified, later they were associated with the components of the management program, and finally, the information was presented to officials related to protected natural areas. It is concluded that the knowledge generated in the territory is fragmented and its problems have not been transferred to decision makers.
