Related factors in the selection of master's and doctoral candidates. Case study of a research and postgraduate center.
Abstract
The objective was to find related factors in the selection of master and doctorate applicants. The research question was: What are the factors that influence the selection of master's and doctoral applicants? The research design was non-experimental, of a quantitative nature and with a descriptive approach. The case study was used as the research technique. The results showed three reasons for not being accepted: unfavorable opinion, not having completed the admission process, and not passing the language exam. It was concluded that the potential capacity, the real capacity, the teacher-student ratio and the admission procedure allow considering alternatives that favor a greater and better income of applicants.
