Abstract

Using the VAK model, the learning styles of the students who studied the subject Statistics at the UNIANDES headquarters in Santo Domingo were identified, to determine the possible relationship on academic performance and the choice of a particular career. The sample groups were students of the Administration, Accounting and Software degree, giving a final sample n = 83. The Chi-square test did not detect a relationship between (p> 0.05) between: style vs. performance and style vs. careers. Nor did ANOVA find significant differences (p> 0.05) between the mean scores of the groups. Globally, students come close to achieving learning. Other factors are affecting the possible relationship between the variables studied.
