Scientific research in higher education.
Abstract
Scientific research constitutes one of the fundamental pillars of university activities. The generation of new knowledge through research and innovation make up the productive technological and social scientific infrastructure of Higher Education Institutions. Quantifying the presence and impact of scientific production represents a measurement criterion for raising the quality of universities. This research aims to conduct a study on the behavior of scientific research in higher education. A statistical analysis of the behavior of socio-metric indicators of Ecuadorian universities is made.
