Abstract

This article aims to analyze the current situation of human mobility in Ecuador, conceived as a global and complex concept. It is postulated that it is necessary to reconsider the viability of a universal political and legal will in favor of the migrant's "status" based on the paradigms of international law. For this, the massive entry of foreign citizens with the greatest influx into the country since 2015 has been considered. The innumerable difficulties on the part of the Ecuadorian government to effectively face the phenomenon of immigration could in many cases violate human dignity. The data provided by the United States Customs Office and the International Organization for Migration, IOM, have been used.
