Competitiveness in the Savings and Credit Cooperatives of the city of Santo Domingo.

Abstract

The present study aimed to evaluate the competitiveness of the Savings and Credit Cooperatives in Santo Domingo. In this context, a field investigation was applied to obtain a reliable descriptive level. The evaluated factors were selected from the IDB map, in addition, a nonprobabilistic opportunistic sampling was designed; in this sense, the sample size was (n = 11). The results allowed us to know the competitive level of the cooperatives, which is at one level: good, however, two entities presented problems. Finally, it was determined that the competitiveness of the cooperatives that are operating in the city is very high and as a result of this, these entities have boosted the local economy.
