Abstract

The objective of this study was to assess anxiety levels in different dental treatments. 248 adult patients who went to the dental office of the Health Center "La Peninsula" - Ecuador were surveyed. Information was collected by using the Modified Corah Test, the most widely used in Dentistry in relation to anxiety levels. Of the evaluated patients, the level of anxiety reaches 68% and 32%, in women and men, respectively, while procedures such as tooth extraction and restorations produce 39% and 36% of anxiety, respectively, concluding that compared to the visit and dental care, all patients present a slight level of anxiety and the procedure that causes the most anxiety is tooth extraction.
