Structure of the electoral authority of Ecuador and principles of contest in jurisdicional headquarters.
Abstract
The study analyzes the structure of the Electoral Authority of Ecuador as of the entry into force of the Constitution of the Republic, in 2008. For this, special emphasis is placed on the distribution and separation of functions of the State and powers regarding administrative and jurisdictional scope in electoral matters. The legal status granted by the Ecuadorian Constitution to the Electoral Authority is considered, since it went from being an institution belonging to the Central Administration of the State to becoming an independent function of it. The intention of this academic effort is that the reader knows the conformation of the electoral function in Ecuador as a guaranteeing organism of democracy.
