Abstract

To evaluate the educational nursing interventions in burns on schoolchildren aged 8 to 10 years with a Mexican population, a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive research was done. Out of 185 students, 95 students are determined as a sample from a matrix formula with finite populations. An 11-item questionnaire divided into two parts was used, it contains questions with multiple-choice answers (5 answers mostly), 64% of the population knows that it is a burn, 51% the correct way to classify its level of severity, This figure coincides with those who identify type I burns (53%), but only 35% know how to treat them.
