Abstract

Currently, everything and everyone is connected to the internet and according to Ramírez et al. (2015) technological advances have shown that the automation of agricultural tasks improves the quality and productivity of their crops. The following study bets on the possibility of applying the internet of things in irrigation systems in the agricultural sector through the use of sensors. Through the programming established on the NodeMCU board, data is sent to a free IoT platform called ThinkSpeak, and with the help of a bot created in Telegram, the user can receive messages about the status of the plantation's soil and carry out irrigation when necessary. necessary through commands.
