Abstract
Managing knowledge based on existing information and experience has become a task supported by technologies that facilitate the ordering, storage and exploitation of it in order to turn it into usable resources. This article addresses the representation of knowledge in the domain of corn in Mexico, emphasizing native races with the idea of showing the need for a knowledge base that contributes to the management and transfer of knowledge. This commitment directly impacts the strategic objectives established to mitigate hunger through food security and sustainable agriculture, also supporting the conservation of specific breeds through the use of semantic technologies.
