Implementation of the Peek Acuity test as a tool in community gerontology in the municipality of Otzolotepec, State of Mexico.
Abstract
This work was done with the purpose of implementing the Peek Acuity visual acuity app as a tool in community gerontology in the municipality of Otzolotepec, State of Mexico to identify problems of gradual decrease in sight and provide guidance so that they can go to the optometrist or ophthalmologist, with the objective of “Assessing the functionality of the Peek Acuity test as a tool in community gerontological care”. The work is exploratory and it was found that most of the subjects studied have moderate disability, a low percentage of severe visual impairment, and few have good vision. It is feasible to use the Peek Acuity app as a tool in gerontological interventions in the community.
