Abstract

The little investment in the preparation of the minor categories by the administrators is one of the causes of the low performance of Peruvian soccer in international tournaments during the years 2015 and 2016 and negative economic repercussions. The general objective was to determine how the economic investment in the preparation of the minor categories influences the performance of Peruvian soccer in international competitions. In this sense, this research (of a non exploratory nature and of a correlational type) has as its unit of analysis the club of the first division of the Peruvian Football Federation from which a sample associated with the minor divisions of four clubs in Metropolitan Lima was selected.
