Abstract

This article proposes a set of reflections regarding research in Latin American universities, taking as a point of view the paradigm of complexity; for this, a descriptive documentary research was carried out. The most outstanding conclusions point to the need to reconceptualize and modify research strategies based on the dialogic, recursive and hologrammatic principles of the complex paradigm, multidimensional thinking; methodological diversification in research processes; the new relationship between subject and object, the relationship between the whole and the parts, the conception of time, history and future, etc.; which in turn would imply a renewal of curricular structures and the integration of knowledge.
