The 2030 Agenda and Veracruz Public Policy for Sustainable Cultural Tourism.
Abstract
This research is exploratory, descriptive, and qualitative. The objective is to evaluate the articulation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda and their application to sustainable cultural tourism in the state of Veracruz, Mexico, from the political development strategies 2019-2024. Methodologically, public policy guidelines, the national and Veracruz development plan, and the Veracruz tourism sector program were analyzed, critical readings of official documents and interviews with key actors (public officials) were made. The results show the need for training strategies among public officials on the SDGs, and the urgent link between various sectors (academics, businessmen, public officials, host communities) to potentiate sustainable cultural tourism in a comprehensive and comprehensive manner.
